I've grown tired of waiting for the water to go down at the lake I had originally chosen to keep my boat in a slip. As a result, I am considering going over to Lake Ray Hubbard in Dallas and was wondering if anyone else is sailing over there.

If so, is there any kind of recreational racing going on the lake?

I recently took a trip down to Dallas and visited Ray hubard lake (my brother has a house on the lake). Not one boat was sailing on the lake! I was shocked. Of course it was 104 degrees that day! Boy, you guys have it hot.

There is a large C and E scow fleet on Hubbard and they race a lot.

Hey Bryan,

If your ready to sell your boat I might be interested in taking it off your hands. I can get it on Lake Travis right now! :)

Gary:

You know you are your own worst enemy.

After we talked about the boat again, you got me motivated. So, earlier today I moved the boat over to Lake Ray Hubbard and she'll be launched on Tuesday.

You might check with Gloss too. I think he is getting close on another boat (Ericson I believe) and he has a perfect 1989 Cat25 that will be going up for sale.

Good luck!

Bryan,

I was at Ray Hubbard yesterday. The wind was howling. I was looking at an '83 Tall Rig/Fin Keel that I've been looking at for a while. No one had made an offer on this boat in 4 or 5 weeks and about 5 minutes before I got there to look at it again someone made an offer and the owner took the deal. I was actually going to buy it if it was the way I remembered it. I did look at it and I would have bought it. Oh well, something better must be in the offering.

How do I get in touch with Gloss and does he live in the DFW area?

Gary

The winds can really blow on Ray Hubbard. I've been out there quite a bit over the last few days. We might have passed each out there.

Gloss is on the forum. Check the members list.

I believe he is up north, but trailering the perfect boat wouldn't be the worst idea.
