I took the Lifesling off of my San Juan, and I want to mount it on my 250, but I'm not seeing any good places except the stern rail, where I generally mount my solar panel and BBQ. I saw a picture at one point where someone had theirs mounted on their port catbird seat, but after looking at mine and the velcro arrangements on the mounting bag, I'm not sure how they did it.
Does anyone have suggestions? Obviously it needs to be reached easily, and the line has to be secured somewhere. It makes sense to have it on the port side somewhere to help clear the prop.

When I had my 250 I mounted mine on the port catbird seat. The top two velcro straps wrapped around the top rail - one on each side of the outside corner. The bottom velcro strap would then wrap around the strut that connected to the corner of the transom under the seat portion. I then tied the line around the top rail of the seat with a bowline and an extra half hitch for extra security. I don't have any pictures or the boat any more so I can't generate on for you.
