Saturday afternoon we had a storm come through the marina - it produced 70+ mph winds with a downdraft (microburst?) that tore the roof off the restaurant and destroyed the metal walkway from shore to docks. I rode it out on the boat (about 50 yards from the walkway) in the slip and had an interesting time! It also broke both the water line supply to the docks and the gas line to the fuel pumps.

No damage to our boat GaryB, just a lot of fuel floating around the hull! I did lose the step stool which I use to get on the boat when it's on the hoist... The Club had to move our annual shrimp boil to the other side of the marina and cook in lake water - but as good Texans the party (complete with live band) went ahead as planned.
GaryB, I've had "This Side Up" since Feb 1992, it's a TRFK. We decided on a FK after the last boat sank - a C22 with a SK...(That's why the name on the C25). I love the FK for it's sailing ability, but hate it's lousy trailerability. On Canyon Lake we need a tall rig as we often have light winds and this boat is a wonderful performer in light air. Good luck with your search and I'll keep watching on our lake.
