We have the boat "Mast Transit" for sale. We purchased this boat during the 1990s and I'm going to try to find the actual year. Most likely it was in the late 90s. Anyway, it is a 25 Foot, 1982, standard rig. I just got a bottom job and had it buffed and the stripes painted. (About $2,500). The sails are about 5-7 years old. It has roller furling, a 15 hp Mercury engine. It needs a new tiller. It has a tiller pilot which is the most fun part of the boat for me. Sorry to those who love the feel of the tiller in their hands--you don't have to use the tiller pilot. The inside still has the original interior. This model has the settees on both sides. I put in a fresh water electric pump for the one sink on the boat. The faucet has a hose connection so you can spray water into the cockpit. I have the washboards for the doorway but I also built a set of plexiglass doors in case I wanted to stay on the boat for the night. It makes it a lot easier to get in and out by swinging the doors open instead of lifting out the washboards. The hinges on the plexiglass doors are detachable so the plexiglass can be removed and stowed when not in use. The original stove is in the boat. I have used it but not terribly successfully. There is a porta potti.

We used to use this boat every weekend. But our hobbies now include kayaking, going places in our travel trailer, and I like to scuba dive offshore. I can't go out in my sailboat 40 miles to a platform and back in shore after 3 dives on 3 rigs in the same day. Unfortunately I have to have a power boat for scuba. All that means I am doing those hobbies rather than sailing.

I keep this boat in Seabrook Texas and sail it in Galveston Bay. I've sailed it a few times to Galveston and kept it there for a while. I like bay sailing because I can turn on the autopilot and sail for hours without having to tack. This is an excellent boat for the bay. I've been offshore in it a couple of times and it does great.

The hull number is 2976. We want $8,800.
