As I took my rig down for the winter, I found the casting on the end of the boom that attaches to the gooseneck was broken. One of the two "ears" was broken off. I consider myself Very lucky that it did not fail on one of those wicked days. I really could not tell until I pulled the pin out, or I sould say try to pull the pin, it was bent and holding the broken piece in place. I have an 89 wk/sr with the fixed gooseneck screwed to the mast. Anyone else ever had this problem? was there possibly an issue with the gooseneck fitting that caused this? and last, where so I get a new one? CD? thanks... Jeff
