<font color="blue"><font size="4"><font face="Comic Sans MS">Kimberly No trips or pictures lately. Went out this week for an hour or so, seems to have a problem in my old age. I have not been able to sail lately in temperatures between 38 and 44 degrees F even with the sun out, maybe I need electric winches for the head sail. May have to use the main sail only. That seems to be the price of sailing alone.

<b>Wow</b> Paul, I can't hardly imagine sailing in temps that cold. I'd have every piece of clothing I own on! Seriously I guess you have to invest in some really good cold weather gear to keep you warm and yet still allow you free movement. I feel so guilty sitting here in 80 degree weather!!
Assuming you have a roller genny, I'd think pulling that out and rolling it back up would be the least effort on a cold day. (I know it is on hot days!)
40 degrees in the sun, light wind and reaching or downwind sailing isn't bad at all. The sun will warm you up very nicely. Just wear layers and have good gloves, cap and shoes, and bring a hot beverage. It's the wind chill while beating upwind that gets uncomfortable!
