Well it was bound to happen. Another year slips by. How could it be that 2007 is already over? I really think our perception of time changes as we age! ............. anyway ............, I wasn't about to let 2007 disappear into memory without one more sail out Ponce Inlet, and here's a few pics from the outing.
This is Peggy on her first sail discovering that the bow is a great place to chill on fair seas.
Just out the inlet looking North East in to the wild blue yonder
And then back at the inlet
I gave her the helm and she took right to it. Hhhhmmmmmm this could be admiral material!
Can you believe this? December 29th, 80ish, south east winds at 5 to 10 and 2 foot seas!
Looking north west at the Daytona coastline
A guy on a 38 Hunter that motored along side for quite a while while headed back to dock
Ya just gotta love this!
We spent about 2 1/2 hours out the inlet, which is actually pretty good because it's 2 hours just to get there, and a great way to say good-bye to 2007! Cheers from Daytona!!!

Thanks for the conformation Dave. And oh, these pics aren't as good as what you usually get from me because I only had my phone to take them with. But they could have been worse and what I learned this morning is that if you email your pics home you get an downsized version, but if you remove your micro sd card, put it in your card reader and transfer your pics that way they are larger and of seemingly better quality.
Great pictures Dave, I can't wait to get moved back to the coast. Like you, we did not want the year to slip by without one last sail. We took a break from getting the house ready to sell and took to the boat.
Although our lake is down 20 feet we managed to get out a few hours this afternoon too.
We had a little wind. (The tall rig did it's thing!)
Cyndi got a little tiller time.
this was the only other boat we saw today.
and then the wind died, no more sailing until next year!
