In the last thread on the subject I said I would try and get some photos of how I raise and lower the mast. These are from the last raising. The first part I was by myself, then grabbed a couple of jet skiiers from the parking lot, finished up with some buddys from the club. With many photo and BS breaks we were ready to launch in less than an hour.

this is the crutch device my neighbor and I put together after I read a discription in Catalina Direct

here is how I carried my engin/motor to Hunington lake<img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b2d625b3127cce9f0f760f311e0000001410" border=0>
mast on crutch in back and how I rigged the mast in front to keep it a little lower.

Raising the mast in the rear is a one person job. Note ties going from top to the cleats on the cabin top.<img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b2d625b3127cce9f0f76e531f40000001410" border=0><img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b2d625b3127cce9f0f76d6b0f70000001410" border=0> forgot to put the arrow on so down and up again. Helpfull kids. I had one on the jib halyard, jib end attached to cleat on the fordeck, the other on the jib winch. one person winching the other raising and freeing lines. Crank a little harder to attach the forestay, and you are set.

Oh someone also asked about measurements on trailer. Here is the underside of my trailer. You can make measurements by setting up a ratio. Remember the depth is 4 feet.<img src="http://im1.shutterfly.com/procserv/47b2d625b3127cce9f0f76bcb09d0000001410" border=0>
