Hi,

I am inspecting my 87 C25 spreaders. I read somewhere on this forum a few years back that some of the older year spreader hardware doesn't work well and should be replaced. Is the original spreader hardware on my 87 ok?

Yes it is fine, the early mounting hardware was aluminum and was replaced by SS years before your boat.
