I've now gone sailing with my new 250 WK about 12 - 15 times and LOVE my boat.

Both in very heavy winds and very light winds.

Seems to me that in light winds, if I had some cam cleats on the port and starboard tracks I wouldn't need to wrap the lines around the winches.

In heavy winds obviously I need the winches but in very light winds winches for a 110 jib are certainly not necessary in my mind.

Is this a good idea and if so, where can I buy some cam cleats that work (slide/fit) on my 1" track?

My former boat, a Hobie One - Holder 14 had such a part but when I looked in West Marine's catalog (and also called them), they don't offer them.

I've also looked on line but can't find where anyone offers that.

So, I'm wondering....

is what I want to do NOT a good idea for some reason?????

It is a good idea...and many of us have used swivel cams instead of the regular cams that are used with standard winches...

You likely have ST winches so the cam at the end of the track is a great solution...

Thanks for the reply.

My question then is, WHERE can I buy swivel cams that fit/slide onto my 1" tracks?

I've called West Marine, looked at their Internet site as well as their catalog and they say that they aren't made.
