Well it is no secret that there has been some ice in the area, our little berg was miraculously spared but it is tarp time anyway. This will be this tarps 4th or 5th year. Since I bought a bimini this year I am leaving it up under the tarp, it will deal with the snow load that would occasionally form at the cockpit. I am also using my new pad for the first time, my son in-law built me a 40'x18'x6" pad in my back yard, he says it is 4000 concrete whatever that means. I think I should by him dinner.

"4000 concrete whatever that means"

It means the concrete mix was rated for compressional yield strength of 4000 PSI (lbs/square inch)...
or about 576,000 lbs per square foot.

I think it will support your boat just fine. :>)

I'm lucky!!

Part of the point of this is the bimini frame contributing to the tarp endoskeleton, it is working very well and I recommend others do it as well.
