Anyone from Maine or up this way cruising - we're going to be sailing up to snow island next weekend. For those who've never been there (myself among them this week) Snow is the home of one-time single hand circumnavigation record holder Dodge Morgan, and is in the middle of a beautiful sheltered harbor at the top of Quahog Bay about four hours from Portland.

We plan to leave from Falmouth Foreside on Friday night en route to the north anchorage at Cliff Island. Saturday morning we'll head up to Snow. Sunday we'll beat down to the Portland Headlight and head to Peaks for the reggae jam.

Anyone out cruising next weekend would be welcome to hook up with us for any or all. Hail us on 9 as 'tako kichi.'

<font face='Comic Sans MS'><font size=2> Justin,
Your trip to Snow Island sounds interesting. I am the editor of the C25/C250 Associations pages in the Mainsheet. All members of all Catalina Associations receive it with their membership.
In the magazine they started a "destinations" section. In the August issue Douglas Young, a C25 owner, wrote about Vashon Island in Washington. I think your trip would make a great story and the added history of Dodge Morgan would really round it out.
Could you take a few notes and picts and write about your trip? Some details would help like where you sail from to get there and any things to watch out for as well a personal description of your trip, who went along, and the fun things you did when you got there. I can use 600 to 1000 words but anything you write will be appreciated and I can help fill it out if you don't feel you are a writer.
Please use this e-mail address. I can scan picts if you need me to.
I hope you have a great trip and fair winds.
Thank you,
John Gisondi (John G-)
