I have looked around for advice about how long jib sheets should be wihtout finding any specific advice. I have a 99%, 110% and am thinking of getting a 150%. The sheets I have look like they are original with the boat (1984) and I would like to change them. I am not sure that my existing sheets have not been shortened. I am a day sailor/casual cruiser so high performance is not an issue.

Check out http://www.catalina25-250.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1634. The consensus seems to be 75', and a bigger jib takes longer, not shorter sheets--to allow the "lazy sheet" to reach the clew on the other side.
