<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"> Joe, The wood at the inside of the hull is part of the modification. (Sorry, I should have made that clear I did this mod a number of years ago and now I take alot of the work for granted). What I did was to glue 1x2s to the inside of the hull and then screwed 1/4"plywood to the them. Same for the bottom, only I used 1/2" ply for that.

Dave, I have the cutouts at home and will measure them for you. As I mentioned previously the starboard side on mine was a single layer of fiberglass and the port side had a plywood backing. If the 1/4" dimension is correct then my port side was closer to 1/2".
I am hoping that I a posting a picture. This is how I added the additional storage behind the port settee cushion. If I had it to do over I believe I would of only had to access doors. This really created a lot of additional storage and I wanted to thank you for the idea.
Actually the panels are individual wood tongue and groove boards. I have had them behind the settee on the port side only for a while to make sure I liked them. When I added the storage, I just continued with them. The ones behind the settee are held in place with small screws. The ones behind cushion in the storage area were glued.
