Just a tickler to see if there there are any plans to do another Bahama run this year?

We can't be sure we can go but we would like to know if there is any interest in a trip?

Issue for us is getting to FL. We are in NC and we have to add at least 2 days prior and 2 days after to get to South FL.

Scooter,
No Bahama trip for me this year, but if I get my house sold here in Atlanta and get moved to Belhaven this spring like planned, maybe we can do a Ocracoke trip.

I'm hoping we can put together a BBB (Biscayne Bay Banyan) before summer.

We could do the bay and card sound, a few nice places to stop, anchorages, snorkle points, etc.

Interest????

Tom,

Belhaven is a great place. You'll like it.

Ocracoke is a straight shot for us and a nice day sail out. We're up Bay river about 3-4 mile from the ICW. If you're lucky you can have a downhill run out and a day or two later a downhill run back.

We pack our folding bikes and go out and about. There are marinas to tie up to. Great place to go. It's a perfect long weekend trip. We are in a group that goes there every Memorial Day. They mostly have larger boats but it's a good group of people. They also go to Cape Lookout every Labor day. You have to bring everything with you (No stores, no nothing but a lighthouse).

Just beware, it's shallow around Ocracoke. It's a forgiving bottom though. Nothing but sand.

Scott
