Hello one and all. I am a new Catalina 25 owner. I just purchased a used '78 swing keel model. This boat needs a little cosmetic work but is otherwise ship shape. One thing missing on her are the pop top enclosure curtains. I've seen that they are available from the Catalina parts site, but I'm interested in making some. Does anyone know where I might be able to get a pattern for these? Possibly if someone has a set that is not worth keeping that I might use for a pattern? All advice on this subject is appreciated.

Making a pop top cover might best be done using your own boat as the template to first fit some cloth and make a pattern, and then make the cover using your own precise pattern.
Installing the factory-made cover requires adding snaps to the cover when in place, anyway.
No, I mean the lighter weight fabric parts that go between the raised pop top and the cabin top. I believe they also cover the hatchway and have some clear sections on the side.
I don't have any photos of the "pop top curtain", that Catalina Direct sells for about $550, but it fits over the entire pop top and its sides have plastic windows. A long piece covers the hatch. It may look like light weight fabric, but it's heavy vinyl.
A local canvas shop advised us to make a template from plastic Vapour barrier and duct tape, then send the pattern in for fabrication, A fantastic idea.
I plan to make the pattern, then buy the sunbrella and make it myself. I figure the pattern is more than half the effort.
Thanks Don for the link. This is what I was looking for. Since my boat doesn't have the curtains I did not know that they went over the top of the pop top. I could have swarn that I saw a picture of a Cat 25 with the curtains running between the pop top and the cabin top. Which would make sense to me seeing that you would have to go outside and slip this whole cover over the top of everything else to be in place. Thank you one and all for the input. If I get this done, I'll post pictures.
