The cabin interior has separated from the cabin exterior around the bottom a window. A previous owner tried to fill the area with a caulk. I removed the window, separated the parts, cleaned and dug out the caulk. It appears Catalina used an amber rubbery adhesive to make an bond then filled the gap with a filler. Does anyone have a suggestion for re-bonding and filling the two fiberglass parts? With the window out they can be easily pulled together with clamps.
When I removed my windows, there too was a gap which is probably quite normal and not a sign of the cabin interior separating from the exterior, but rather the way these boats were built.
