Tomorrow I get the MRI that will help on Wednesday to determine the direction of repair of the knee. Thanks for all the notes as this is a big deal for me to get back on the boat. I hope the writings I have shared are OK as the medications have been strong. Today no pain if I stay in the wheelchair but I get to spend time reading the Forum. Let's go sailing.

Thanks Paul, I really enjoyed our short visit last summer. I want to get together this next time when we both aren't trying to help other sailors. Post pictures, that would be great.
Hey Jim, Good luck on the knee. In my spare time when I'm not working on the boat I do anesthesia. Modern anesthesia is safer than ever before and all my patients do very well. Make sure you don't eat or drink past midnight. Very important. If you tend to get sick let them know and they will give you an anti emetic. But I'm sure you already know all this. Once again, good luck. Orthopedic surgeons have really cool tools. I especially like their drill guides, I want one. A stainless steel hammer would be good on the boat too.
