I've got to replace one of my batteries. For deep cycle is it worth the trouble (relocate and build new box) to go with a pair of 6volt golf cart batteries?
This spring I replaced one of my 12-volt with 2 6-volts and have been very happy with the results. I’m on a mooring and have not used them up in a weekend of use even with the anchor light. I located the 2 6 volts in the existing battery box. Then installed a new box on the port side for the starting 12-volt battery. I ran the new cable and installed a solar charger that insures that the 2 banks are toped off when we arrive.
