A couple of weeks ago I called Catalina Yachts (factory) and asked to talk to someone that had access to the production build records. I didn't connect directly with a human so I left a message and asked if someone would call me back. A hour passed and I received my call. I have been curious about how many were made because my C25 (hull 6029) was built in 1991. Only a few were built that year. So I asked what was the last one built and I was told it was hull number 6031. 6031 was completed in June of 91. She is (I hope she still is) a Tall Rig Wing Keel delivered to the St Louis MO area. Hull 6030 came off the line in April of 91. She is a Standard Rig Wing Keel delivered to somewhere in Arizona. Compass Rose (hull 6029) TRFK came off the line in March of 91 and she was delivered to Ohio. After all that discussion I ended up forgetting to ask just how many were produced in 91. One more stone to turn. Here's to a great season of sailing. Fairwinds, Dave Otey

I guess the amazing part is that you got the return phone call from someone that didn't have to share any of this information with you. It says volumes about the class company that Catalina Yachts is. Could this information be archived here somehow? Maybe in the "Owners" list even though the current owners might not be known. Maybe just a note after #6031 reflecting that there are no more.
John, your point regarding collection of the C25's history is a good idea. We have many pieces of trivia throughout the site that could be consolidated and assembled into a C25 geneology journal.
For what it is worth I have "Wind Whisp" which is hull number 37. She is a standard rig fixed keel and sits in a slip just north of Dallas Texas. She is still a great boat and pretty much all original. We use her as often as we can usually every weekend. I have only had her about a year now and she is in need of new main sails. Other than that she is a wonderful boat.
