What a strange week. Last Saturday I waxed the boat in 84 degree weather - a record high. Today we had a record low along with rain, hail and snow!! Between storms the Admiral and I got everything on the boat, bent the sails and got everything ready for the season. Alas, it took all day so no sailing. We'll inaugurate the sailing season in the next day or two.
We cannot direct the winds but we can adjust our sails.

Randy, I'm in the same boat (no pun intended) as you. Takes me and my wife all day to get everything setup and afterwords, we never sail - too tired!
I envy those who have got it down to under 2 hours. I spend that much time running for parts I'm missing!
Of about 100 slips there are 10 boats in. Most people launch in late May and June. I have great respect for those people who can really trailer sail these boats, it is always an adventure for us setting up. And, as usual, a couple of parts decided to jump into the lake! That's what we get for doing the setup on the water.
The storms were rolling in yesterday. Just as we finished bending on the mainsail and getting it flaked and covered, a big black cloud arrived and it started just wailing - lucky we got the sail done just in time. Of course forgetting to re-install the mast gate and having the slugs blow out of the track on the first lowering didn't speed things up much.
Thats great news Randy, I'm in too, only the boat is still in Lake Lainer (Atlanta) and I'm now 500 miles away! Plan to go pull her out the lake in a few weeks and tow her back to Belhaven, NC. (her new home).
