Good Day Captains: Have studied my u-know-what off attempting to find the magic formula for upper and lower shroud tension(s). Haarstick, EP, WYC, and Mr. Chris' attention to detail. First: I have moved the forward lowers to the chain plates to increase DDW capabilities. Replaced all halyards with spectra and new spinlock rope clutches. Rebuilt mast base, etc, etc. $ $! So Here's the deal. I am @ 35 on the Loose Gauge for the Uppers. 28 on the forward (now chain plated) lowers and the aft lowers hand tight. Back stay is 16:1 Mast is pitched ~ 8" with no pre-bend. In column without backstay. Forstay is somewhat loose - about 6" circles. Average wind in Estuary Friday nights is 8 kts. Out sweet range. New 'canvas' - all UK Tape drives < 2 yrs. old. I need someone to either say "oh my god, dont do it" or I'm right on target? What say you all? First race is Friday pm @ 1800 hrs
