Hi all, this has really nothing to do with the boat itself, but I fugured Id ask anyway
I bought an old sounder made by lowrance, and I think I already know the answer to this question, but until its in the water, will it show a depth or will it just stay at 0 , the transducer is next to the old one and it shoots through the hull, everything else on the unit seems to be working fine, I just wanted to test it prior to putting the boat in this upcoming weekend

must be shooting into water with no air in between
