When I purchased my Catalina 22 years ago, I spent several days removing a rusted soft steel bolt someone had used on the keel pivot casting. It was a job that I had no choice but to do since the head of the bolt had rusted off. With the Catalina 25 I j

Welcome aboard,

Your keel pin needs to be maintained, they do wear out. Eventually you will need to drop the keel. It is my opion, the sooner the better.
