We have been working all winter doing projects to get the boat cabin fixed up. We spent our first night at the marina on the boat this weekend. The last project we did was to make a mattress pad for the v-berth. The cushions are in good shape, but the are old, so we didn't want to sleep directly on them. We got a king size, inch and a half, memory foam mattress topper. It worked out that we could get all the v-berth cushions out of it. It came with a terry cloth cover so we cut that down for the main cushion. Then we got two king size sheets and laid those out so we could make covers like big pillow cases with an overlapping flap for covers that can be removed and washed. It made a nice comfy bed. I'll post some pictures of the project.
The last picture is of the Osprey that hung out at the marina all weekend fishing. It was fun to watch him swoop down and dive for a fish and then fly back up to the top of the piling to eat his catch.
