i have one never used pacific blue companionway hatch cover. (or whatever color blue it was that came standard with the boat) We just purchased all new canvas in Captain Navy. When we purchased the boat new it came with two companionway hatch covers ( i am sure by mistake). we used one, and put this one away and never used it. this is for a wing keel only. it will not fit a water ballast model. i dont know why, but when we ordered the new one they were very specific about the fact that it was for a wing keel model. so if anyone with a wing keel needs one, let me know. i will be happy to send it along.
Oh no, Randy, thats too bad. I hope it is David's color. It will be interesting to see where it finally ends up. Boston, to Oregon to Washington. Keep us posted! I could not find it at Catalina Direct. I bought the new one from Catalina Yachts. $125.00 plus shipping. Be sure to specify it is for a WK if that is what you have, the size is different for the WB .Call Chris at Catalina Yachts 1-818-884-7700 x259
That's perfect, I don't work on Fridays so I'll be here to receive. If you sent it UPS I'll get a chance to talk boats with the driver, he's got a C&C 38.
Well, the hatch cover showed up today as promised, the color is perfect, but the snap pattern doesn't match ours exactly. The part that covers the door fits perfectly, there are three snaps that fit on each side, but none of the rest of the snaps fit. That said, I think I can add about 7 snaps to the boat & it'll fit. Two at the front-sides of the lexan, and then five across the rear of the forward part of the hatch. The patterns must have changed over the years, I have snaps all around the entire hatch area, looks like maybe newer boats only go to the back part of the hatch (right where the lexan/hatch seam is).
