I am seeking any input from members in the Southern New England area regarding names of reputable marine surveyors who handle smaller jobs, such as an insurance survey for a Catalina 25. I know that I SHOULD have done this before getting the boat a couple of years ago (long story - but would demonstrate the value of a survey in advance!!) but now the work has been done I want to have a survey done. So far every surveyor I have called has said that the job is either "too small" or they are swamped with work, mostly for banks seeking surveys on large yachts they have or will be repossessing. So, if anyone knows of a good small boat surveyor, please let me know! Thanks in advance.

Are you checking the National Association of Marine Surveyors site? (I suspect my guy would need to charge a fuel surcharge to go down to Rowayton.)
