Does anybody know of a way to remove old set silicon seal. The PO used this stuff for just about everything and there is lots all over the place. Example, the deck fittings are sealed down with this stuff and I'm trying to remove the excess and leftovers from the non skid deck. Is there something out there that will melt this stuff? I've tried everything I can think of and nothing will budge it. On the web there is a reference to some industrial stuff but is sold only in bulk. On all my upgrades and redos, better than half the work is removing the old sealant.

I hate to say this Steve, but I feel for you... "Clear" silicone seal seems invisible until the little smears deteriorate and turn brown in the sun--that's when you find that it's almost impossible to remove all of the residue. That's why IMHO it should never be used for much of anything on a boat, unless you don't care what the boat looks like.
I had some success with razor blades and Soft Scrub...
Don, Good suggestion. Goof Off worked well for silicon seal. It breaks the bond and almost dissolves it. So far I've used in on the window frames themselves and it cleaned them up with 1/4 the work. Next is to try it on the fiberglass but I have every reason to believe it will work. I'm also up against some other material that I thought was silicon seal but must be something else because Goof Off won't touch it. This was used under all the deck fittings. I don't think its 3M 4200 because it looks like it was clear at one time.
