I thought using CD's was a vast improvement over using 8 tracks, but now the ipod has changed everything. I installed the power outlet next to the stereo. I use an FM transmitter/charger with the ipod and 80 GB of media is now available in a package smaller than a cigarette pack...awesome dudes ...or groovey
Nice installation! I'm going the other way, I'm reinstalling my cassette player, can't find a cassette/CD unit so I'll have both on board, I have too many cassettes that I enjoy. ipod/mp3 are both way too hi tech for me, I'm an analog man in a digital world.
Dave, nice job. I have similar setup the PO installed. When my son sails with me he brings his FM transmitter. I finally broke down and got an Ipod but no transmitter yet. Kinda wish I had newer radio that had aux jack. I don't like bringing in my CD collection to the boat. Too much stuff already. But some times I ONLY listen to the sound of the water and the wind blowing. Ah, peace. Steve A
Yeah, I'm old school, Ha! Just easier for me to use, I have lots of vinyl, CDs, tapes, all goes easily onto a cassette. I'm a little behind when it comes to computers, downloading music, posting pics, still foreign to me.
How's the weather out there Randy? Talked to my sister in Lebanon and they have a Catalina 22 on your lake, was rainy and cold last time I talked to her a couple weeks ago.
