I got a "new" old engine for my dinghy. It's model #2902A, serial #002274. Does this mean it's a 1974?
I'm looking into getting a service manual. There are ones specific to this size engine, but they are also specific by year (hence the need to know the year of the engine). There are other Evinrude service manuals which cover many years, but they cover 2-50 hp (aftermarket, I think). I'm thinking the specific service manual only for the 2 hp will be better -- is this correct? Would a parts book (with schematic) be better than a service manual?
