Our new boat has a Seaward butane stove; the model number is 1203-06, and I believe it has the word "Princess" on the top.
Where's the best place to buy butane cartridges for this stove? (WM is about 60 miles from my house, Camping World is about 120 miles, REI is about 60 miles, Target/Wal-Mart/Home Depot are about 15 miles.)
What's a good price?
About how long do the butane cartridges last? (How many meals can be prepared typically?)
As always, THANKS!
Martin

Martin, The cheapest place I've seen these cartridges is at 99 Ranch, an Asian food supermarket. I've got no idea if there are any in Lake Tahoe, but I know they are in CA., at least in San Diego. Probably Sacramento as well if you get down there with any frequency.

I am getting about 6 to 6.5 hours per canister on average
You might try your local RV center if there is one nearby. They often carry the same thing.
You may be able to shop around on line for a lower price per can.

Thanks, David. I think I've seen a 99 Ranch store in Sacramento, somewhere. I'll have a look the next time I'm there.
Hi Martin, The disposable butane gas cartridge (http://www.kingbutane.com/proddetail.asp?prod=GC-12) is the "standard" form factor for butane gas stoves and other butane-operated appliances using a collar notch for key way alignment on the gas appliance. (Like the Seaward 1203) The fuel cartridge is 8.0" tall x 2.6" diameter and will fit a 7.8 oz/220g OR 8 oz/227g cartridge. It is nominally an 8 oz cartridge, but I have found it generally has an effective load of 6 to 7 oz before the internal pressure in the can equalizes with atmospheric.

On my stove, it has the same style of fitting as what you would find on a coleman propane stove but it has a smaller fitting that the propane canister will fit, Anyone know where to get fuel canisters?
