Oh my God. Thanks to the help of Bill Holcomb and his mentioning my boat to some of his friends Wind Lass has been sold. I can't beleve it has happened so soon. Nine days. That has to be some lind of record. I would also like to thank all my fellow sailors and friends here for their support. I will not be leaving the board as I still enjoy all the company here. Besides who would keep you all honest with stories of their speed and such. Thanks to everyone.
Doug and Ruth... I don't know whether to be happy or sad for you! But I'm betting something as amazing will happen to your career situation, and you'll be back in the market for a boat! Stick around and tell us about it!

The saying about the two best days aren't true. Im upset she sold sooo fast. Fall is the best time of year for sailing here. I have plenty of invites from friends to sail with them so perhaps that will keep my sailing low level light out for a while. Im still going to stick around the board. Perhaps the aviation enviroment will improve next year.
If you're ever at the opposite corner of the country give me a holler! I'll go sailing in a heart beat.
Went out today as there is a tropical storm 150 mi offshore so the wind was kicking up a little <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle> I like it like that!
Congratulations/I'm so sorry. You must have such mixed feeelings. One less thing to worry about in these stressful times, but its got to be hard to see her go so quickly. Best of luck with the job hunting! Maybe for sanity's sake you can find a cheap, towable daysailor. Keep in touch!
Sorry to see that Windlass sold so fast but I'm also sure it was some kind of relief for you too. I will ask around in the industry and keep my ears open for any opportunities. I'm sure there will be another boat in your future. Glad to hear you're going to stay with the forum as we can all use your advice! Warm regards, Kathleen
Doug and Ruth, As all have said I am sorry to hear of your plight. If you are ever in central CA let me know and perhaps we can go for a sail on our little lake
