Nice training video. When I first started racing my job was foredeck, so I spent a lot of time managing spinnakers and poles. I didn't really fly the chute very much until much later when I was doing it for fun with friends. I still love a spinnaker downwind, it makes for the best ride. Nowdays I fly and assymetrical chute which is much easier to fly when sailing single-handed.
At 4/29/08 per Cruising Direct (CD), an asym. spinnnaker for the C-25 was $815, Snuffer $230, sheet pkg $80. Add the extra required blocks, maybe another halyard and you are closing in on $1,300-$1,400. count on at least $1,500-$1,800 for a sym. spinnaker due to needing a pole and more lines, blocks, etc.
