No, I didn't do anything further on getting a boat title while I was home on leave. I spent part of my time moving my Hunter 25 from an overpriced civilian marina at Canyon Lake to the Randolph Air Base marina, where my slip fees dropped 50%. Then we spent a couple days water skiing & tubing before I had to return to Walter Reed. My boat has all it's components, so I don't need any pieces/parts. I just don't have the time to put it all back together again.
Gary B, I'm the one considering sinking my boat, but not in Lake Travis. A group of scuba divers I'm affiliated with are interested in sinking it in an impromptu dive park they are creating, but I don't know what the legal issues are for the particular body of water they are diving in. The Army has me stationed in Washington DC these days, and in my spare time I'm working on my PADI scuba instructor certification. I do a lot of diving in quarries where boats, cars, etc. are sunk for divers to goof around on. If I can't see my C25 sailing again, I'd like to see it in a Iexas dive park. If you have any contacts at privately owned dive sites please let me know.
Sorry Randall, I thought it was Dan that mentioned in another post he was thinking of donating his boat to a Lake Travis dive group.
I have absolutely no affiliation with these people but I did stop in once to look around. It's a pretty nice setup and they appear to have plenty of room for a C25 -->>> http://www.scubapark.net/info.shtml
