Many of you know I am a Program Manager in the IT Department for the San Diego Sheriff. Yesterday all the police departments in the region hosted a special sailing regatta for disadvantaged kids. Police and professional staff like me with sailboats volunteered their boats and their time to take kids sailing. These kids all are wards of the County for one reason or another. 11 boats participated, Indiscipline was the smallest, but she was turned out in her finest.

It was very rewarding for me. The only damage on my boat was a little spilled root beer.

It's always a good feeling to do nice things for needy kids. Glad to see them wearing PFD's.
