Good idea putting a little inflatable digny on top like this. Looks comfy. I guess if you would fill it up with water could make you a little hot tub like those "rich and famous" boats.

Bill,
Silver lake Dunes isn't another name for Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes is it? I remember going to Sleeping Bear dunes by Traverse City when I was a kid. Ah, after a quick search on Google Earth I see it's not. Silver lake is the same sort of thing 85 miles south of Traverse City.

We did a camping trip to Silver Lake when I was a kid. Probably around 1960. Mom pulled a rented camper behind our 1956 Chevy. Still have fond memories of that trip.

Right in our own backyard!

From Wikipedia
Long Island had a population of 7,448,618 as of the 2000 census,[1] with the population estimated at 7,559,372 as of July 1, 2006, making it the most populated island in any U.S. state or territory.

You would never know it from those pictures. Great shots Sean

Dunno, Sean

I'm on the south shore of L.I. and do all of my sailing between the North and South Forks. I've never been to Smithown via the water. My backyard comment was about Ct. NY. Long Island, etc.

I was just commenting on your great pictures and how you can still find some solitude even while surrounded by urbanization.
