Has anyone used the aft quarter berth as a pipe berth while under way?

My thought was to fill the "midgets only" space under the cockpit with gear, then use the settee back cusions standing up against the hull and the cockpit walls. The only other spot I can think of for a sleepy person while under way is to make lee boards for the starboard settee, and tie them to the pop-top posts.

Any other ideas?

The lee boards make a lot of sense - so does lee curtains, as they did from days of yore...getting in and out of the aft berth is quite a maneuver for anyone older than 15...

Thanks Jerry - we ended up not needing the space. Just stayed up and got giddy instead.
