Sounds like all of this advice would apply equally to drilling holes in the coaming to install a bimini, yes? (That job just got bigger...)

Your right, installing the bimini was one of the biggest project I have ever done on my boat. The reason was because of the need to pass the backstay through the bimini. Lots of measuring, installing/uninstalling etc.

Keith d. posted a very detaiiled description of mounting his off the shelf bimini; did you follow that and find it helpful? Any good tips from your installation?
