As is typical up here in the PacNW, 4th of July weekend was a bit drizzly, so as we were waiting out the tide and the rain showers to leave the marina I got a little bored. All the talk a while back about cockpit tables got me thinking. So with cordless drill in hand, a bolt, fender washer and knob from the chandlery, fitted this table I normally use clamped to the stern pulpit into a nifty dockside beverage and appetizer station. The bolt simply goes through the tiller extension hole, and holds the table on quite nicely. Wouldn't sit or carve a turkey on it, but it seems plenty strong for a couple of cups of coffee or margaritas.

What kind of wood did you use ? How did you attach the sides ? It looks from one of the photos that the long side has at least one screw attachment from the underside - not from the side. Is that true ? If so...then do the sides have a grrove in it so that they fit onto the tabletop and then sides screwed to the tabletop from underneath ? (Just curious as to the details.)
Larry, Actually the tabletop itself is brich veneer plywood, the edges are mahogany trim routered w/ a groove and glued to the plywood. What looks like screws on the edge are actually the holes used to connect it to the stern rail- I use 2 J shaped bolts w/ black knobs screwed in from the top of the table to mount next to the BBQ.
It would be a great addition to the tech tips section as a project submission. I don't wish to propose more work for you, but you have to admit, there is great interest in the table by many folks. By having your table project in the tech tip section of this site, complete with pictures and measurements, other folks benefit from your creation.
Very nice. For our c-22 I made a table with a fold-up leg in front and spring clamps that fit on the traveler bar. I think the C-25 tiller is curved up too high for that to work on Recess.
