Are there any Catalina 250 racers on this forum? I race my 250 on Payette Lake in McCall, Idaho against one other 250 and roughly 5-6 Catalina 25's and would love to know if other 250's are out there racing?

Yes there are a few I am sure. I raced every wednsday (Beer Can) until this year. Haven't this year due to Generals surgey and deaths in the family or friends. Hope to get back at it as soon as I get caught up on honey do's.

We've got 2 C250s (and 2 C25s) racing with us on Wed nights and some w/e regattas. Different fleet, different start, different course - but they're out there doin it!

I plan on racing my C 250 next Saturday in a community fleet event. 1st time for me and my first mate. I've been practicing rounding the marks with different wind direction and velocity. I can generally keep the boat around 10-15 degrees of heel with a second reef and full 110 Genoa in moderate winds.. Will report back next weekend....
