I am trying to learn about the fire safety standard on off shore facilities and boats I learnt that in the U.K. they are using escape smoke hood (EN – 403) Are you familiar with those standard or the hoods , or you can refer me to the person in charge for those issues.
Escape hoods are useful in the very short term escaping from fires in large buildings, ships and planes. On Catalina a 25s or 250, if a fire starts that we can't put out, we jump overboard--ideally into our dinghy. You might try the National Transportation Safety Board (search on "NTSB"), or just search on "smoke escape hoods".
