A couple of years ago I sent a set of sails from my O'Day to Sailcare and was very happy with the job they did. I had nasty stains from long storage with leaves and other things. I'm sending my main there this winter.
Ron, I have cleaned mine in a 50 gal trash can. I filled up the can 3/4 of the way and put in the sail. A small child is the key, but I guess that you could get in there. I soaked mine for 3 days then put it out on the close line to dry. You can add a small amount of oxyclean - For harder stains I make a paste with the oxyclean scrub into the sail using a har brush, then do the soaking.
If you have a large two car driveway (or your vacationing neighbor has one) than just lay it out with a hose, scrub brushes, and some detergent or a bleach paste. make sore you schedule a couple of hours for this.
