Hey folks...thanks for all the great info over the years...the pleasure has been all ours! We've come to financial terms on a C34 and are now going to survey. Clean boat with lots of new stuff...I don't expect the survey to come back too shabby, but you never know.

Meg's new owner is leaving her on the Chesapeake in the Deltaville area. I've sent him in the direction of this forum. Take good care of him!

Thanks again...much obliged!!

We welcome you to the C34 "Family" -- Please feel free to get in touch with me at any time. We've had our C34 for 10 years now, after 12 years with our C25.

For info, also go to www.c34.org. The "Forum" link gets you to the C34 Message Board.

congrats! Hello folks! Meg's new owner here, and I am definitely a nooobie!

Meg will be staying in Deltaville in the same slip even. My wife and I have met many great people at our Marina already. Looking forward to gaining a wealth of knowledge from this place! Also sharing our Adventures on the bay (or misadventures as they occur.)

Thanks!

Fair winds Meg.

Welcome Stingray.

Its a good idea to put some details of your boat in your profile so we know what you've got without having to ask.

Then it'll appear automatically on every post--like mine below.

What sort of "noobies" are you--new to sailing, new to keelboats,...? There's help here for all, and I'm sure there's more at your marina--sailors like to help and teach sailors. We're all still learning!

Congratulations!

Wife has sailed on parents '33 c and c growing up but was always just on for the ride, so we are learning together.

Mike,
Congratulations! The C-34 sure seems like a nice boat for many reasons.

Chris (Stingray),
Welcome to the Forum and maybe I'll see you out on the Bay. We're only about 75 miles apart - Stingray Point up to the Magothy River!

Well, the survey went off fairly well. I've mixed feelings for surveys...don't get me wrong, I wouldn't buy a boat without one, but both times it seems as though I've paid someone an exorbitant amount of money for them to say "you've got a pretty nice boat there". BTW...anybody needing a survey in the Annapolis area, Hartoft Marine Survey does very competent, thorough work.

I'll try some pics...

Great day for sea trials (incidentally, the PO and broker hoisted that main...)

We'll be relocating her to Stingray Point this weekend...hope the weather gods are with us!

I'll second that vote for Hartoft Marine. I learned about a number of concerns, problems, and limitations with my 27 year old boat and was happy to be able to fix stuff in order of importance.

Happy sailing on your new C-34!

Congrats on the 34. Very nice boat. I was seriously considering looking at them if I didn't find an Ericson 32.
You definitely want to check out the C34 association. I have downloaded manuals from their site for my Universal diesel on my Ericson. Stu has even offered to help me out. Very nice folks, just like us 25 owners.
BTW, what year is your 34? Is that a wing keel I'm seeing?

And congrats to Stingray for purchasing the 25

Hey Frank,

She's an '87 and yes, that is a wing under there.

Without a doubt, Stu is "The C34 Man"...he has already sent us some outstanding information. Very kind indeed...

Thanks all, we're extremely "stoked"!!

Hey Mike,
Good for you.
I like the older 34's and 36's so much better than the new ones. Have you seen the layout of the new catalina 375 dockside condo?

See you on the Admiralty forum
