I am looking for a good place to store our pots and pans. I seem to recall seeing some 250s (perhaps early models?) having an access door on the forward wall of the galley that allowed pots and pans to be placed on a shelf underneath the cooking burner. In other words the access door was right at the starboard settee. Does anyone have that setup and some photos?
We cannot direct the winds but we can adjust our sails.
Randy, We have exactly what you're talking about, I'll look around & see if I have any pictures showing it. If nothing else I can take pictures tomorrow when we go down to the boat. We use the shelf for storing our "goody" box of quick & easy snacks, as well as food for our hound and her treats. There is a wire shelf that spans the entire width of the area below the burner, sink, etc. We currently store some of our pots & pans in the blue "cooler" below the galley, although I'm trying to convince Rita to install our new Waeco fridge there instead, and store the pots & pans in the starboard settee locker.
Randy: Our '95 WB C250 has that storage access standard. To make the space more useful we extended the top shelf right across as shown in the second image. Note the propane bottle using the connection from the rinky dink butane holder as per Arlyn Stuart's outline. Storing pots and pans we used during our one year "living on board full time and going South" road and float trip was ideal with easy access from the settee. The cover held in place with Velcro
Randy... a cabin image with access to the pots & pans half hidden behind the cushion. Our boat came complete with a pressurized water supply with battery operated pump installed in the wet locker
Randy, Our boat's basically the same as Henk's. Our door isn't velcroed on, it's a drop board like the battery compartment, but most of the rest is pretty similar.
We never got down to the boat today, it's been raining constantly since last night, not exactly pleasant weather for a sail, so I wasn't able to take any photos for you, but I think you get the idea from Henk's.
