Henk, No, unless you call being on the Washington State Ferry sailing. Still that is a great photo. Love the fog coming in. Don't get the placement of the table bench. Steve A
Steve: The picture was taken in Fossil Bay on Sucia Island in the San Juans
A little later the same day
Here are a few images of the table construction using the SS tubing and hardware that came with the boat. Note: two 3/4 to 7/8 teak spacer strips were added to allow two white 3/8 thick plastic coated plywood with 3/8 teak edging pull-out sides to slide between the SS tubing and the table top. The table itself is made from an "off the shelf", 2 piece teak serving tray hinged together. (Actually the serving trays came as a set of 3 trays. As shown one tray we cut 1/3 and 2/3 and used in the galley above the counter.) Total cost about $100.00... trays are available at garden centers and outdoor/patio shops An additional benefit is that the entire table with the SS legs can simply be lifted out of the holders and installed in the cockpit's standard mounting holders. A cabinet TV tray roll-out extension arm is mounted below the swing-up table section as support. It will slide-in in the down position and extend when the table section is in use. A wood spacer block on the end of the arm holds the table level. If desired, the swing up extension is easily removed by removing/installing the hinge pins. This was a fun project and enjoyed the result during our year long "living on board full time and going South", road and float trip
Henk, Ok guess I was a little south? and got the wrong spot. Geography not my strong point. Besides, there are so many island in the San Juans, I cant know them all! Just for that I now like your table better. So there! Steve A
Steve: I wish it was "South", a little more myself especially now with winter approaching... am seriously considering packing the boat which, by the way, was in storage all during the entire last year, and going to where it is warm for a month or three... We had a great time during our last visit and stay at L dock at Mission Bay Village Marina in San Diego among other locations... you wanna come??
The hardware pictured is for the original cockpit table. This is not the original hardware for the cabin table. I do like what you have done with it though.
Did you have 2 sets of table hardware? What does the other (cabin) set look like? Unless the previous owner altered the hardware the set that I used came with the boat and was mounted to the big white cabin table. The SS pipes holding the table in the cabin also slips easily into the holders mounted in the cockpit, thereby extending the versatility and use of the table
I have a 95 and mine mounts just like zeil's. It is big and in the way most of the time so it lives under the v berth. Ot sets up in the cabin and in the cockpit.
The table does lower to make a big V-birth bed; there is also a set of cushions which came with the boat that fits on top of the table for this purpose. As for the clamp for the compression post, you would not want it. It is a real hassle I am going to change it to a better setup when I get some time. When I take a picture of it and post it later.
Just went out this weekend on Jim Baumgart’s 25. I was crewing for him for the Turkey Day Regatta, put on by the Silver Gate Yacht Club. What a great Club. They gave him a slip for the night before for free, (the race was in San Diego Bay and he is out of Mission Bay) there was no entrance fee for the race, and when we got back there was hamburgers and hot sandwiches and chips for us. We took 2 out of 11 and the trophy was a bottle of tequila. It can’t get much better than this, had a great day.

It would appear that the table can be lowered and made into a support for an extended v-berth bunk! Excellent!
Can you post some pics of the legs and the clamp! ... Please!!!

Paul, looks like we have been reinventing the wheel.
