Now I don't feel such an impostor on this fine forum!

Wicked Escort arrived on my driveway last week. We bought her in Racine, WI, and had her towed the 650 miles to Western NY. She was a little dirty (20 years worth!), but is now looking and smelling a whole lot better. Our marina has closed for the season, so W.E. is shortly leaving for covered winter storage. She replaces our Hunter 23, which we owned from new, but were starting to find a little cramped.

As with others, I can't say enough about the wealth of good advice and information I've gleaned from all the posts here.

Beautiful boat, nice trailer... I think you'll really enjoy her.

>"but were starting to find a little cramped"

She'll has enough room to stay aboard in relative comfort... handles like a bigger boat so she will be good training if and when you decide to move up.

Welcome, Julian,

Your boat looks great! I bought my boat in November, but I was able to get in a few weeks of sailing in MD before it was hauled out.

Do you sail in Lake Erie, more than an hour away from Olean, or somewhere closer?

John, thanks.

Actually we sail on the Allegany Reservoir, about 40 miles west of Olean - our marina is at Onoville, NY, and run by the county. The lake is highly unspoiled; the northern section is on the Seneca nation, the central section is a NY State Forest, and the southern part is a PA State Forest. However the surrounding hills can make the wind shifts a real challenge!
