I think my boat is overproped and need to replace the existing prop. Does anyone have a recommendation of a replacement prop for a C-25 with an inboard universal M-12 (11hp) engine?
S/V Prima Donna 1986, 15 HP Universal Inboard Diesel, Fixed keel, Hull # 5362
I have a 1986 with a M12 and it has a folding two bladed prop when I bought it. It was made by Martec; the Eliptec model, the prop has the following stamping "RH 12D X 10P". I assume the RH stands for right hand rotation, 12D is 12 inch diameter and the 10P is 10 inch pitch. I also have a fixed two bladed prop which I got with the boat. It has a the following stamping "Austral 11 RH" on one side and "B11" ? hard to read. It is 11 inch diameter but I have not measured the pitch. My engine is able to rev to max of 3500 rpm and seems to cruise at 2500 rpm at 6. knots with the folding prop.
