I have the 15 hp Honda with all the extras and have no complaints. Electric start, pull start, tack, power lift, alarm for low oil pressure, alarm for over 190 degrees and very quiet. It is never run more than half throttle and is great for the strong currents in the San Juan's. I had ordered the 9.9 for a good deal and the dealer called later and asked if I would take the 15 for the same price so...(very lucky)

I don't notice any weight problem and the boat seems to sail just fine. The bow seems to still be heavy when at the dock so the extra weight didn't help. I'll be in the San Juan's next season.

I had a 15Hp (Stolen off the boat this summer) and now have a 9.8...Seems to be the same!
