Does anyone know of a good source for a spinnaker crane that fits the Cat 25 masthead truck casting?

The mast head casting (Krane) has an extra fitting or mount area already. All that is needed is the block and line. Take a look at the parts manual in the manuals section. I would have posted it but am having a problem with picture copy.

Yes, there is a clevis pin at the forward end of the masthead for an extra halyard and block and if you don't have a roller furler this will probably work fine. But when I put a block and halyard on this pin, the upper swivel of my Harken roller furling would snag on the block and halyard on every rotation. The only solution in my case is a spinnaker crane that would get the block out farther in front and out of the way of the swivel. I'm still looking for a source for one.

Thanks Doug and Dan. I do have a furler and am still looking for a crane. The Sail Warehouse offers three sizes, so I'm going to look into that option. When I find one that fits, I'll post the results.

When I contacted the Sail Warehouse last spring about a crane they told me that it wasn't profitable and not worth their effort to sell just a crane. They only sold them as part of a spinnaker package.

Thanks for the reply Don. I'm in the market for a new cruising main, so perhaps I can talk 'em into selling an unprofitable crane along with it. I also noted that Catalina direct makes a version for the 27, but am not sure about casting dimensions--i.e., will it fit! Was hoping that someone had already cracked this nut...but will keep trying and post results.

Last spring I talked to Catalina Direct about a masthead crane for the C25 and was told that they do not sell one. They were, at the time, developing a crane for the C22, but not the C25.
