The bottom one is repalced fairly strait forward. Unbolt old and install new with sealant.
The upper one requires cutting a hole in th aft bulkhead of the cockpit footwell. Once the gudgeon is replaced a Beckson screw in access plate is installed to clean up the hole.

I don't have any photos but I'm sure someone that does will chime in also.

I replaced my lower gudgeon and added a third in between. I left the top alone, because of the hassle of drilling the hole to access it per Happy D above. I added additional layers of glass inside the transom, along with new backing plates made of plywood and aluminim. If you want to see a picture, e-mail me and I'll send you some, along with more detail.

I cut in a Beckson plate as shown above.
I replaced the original gudgeons with the upgrade heavy duty ones sold by Catalina direct. I also used 5/16" machine bolts and fender washers instead of the original 1/4" bolts.

Thanks to all. Does Cataline Direct also sell the Beckson plate?

At Catalina Direct's web site, search for:
Z2207 Hole saw kit to install inspection port. (Rental)
Z2198 Gudgeon Access Kit.
Z2125 Heavy Duty Gudgeon with gusstes and bushings
Z2196 Gudgeon Fastener kit for one gudgeon
E0002 The most important item, a C25 Owners Handbook.
The hand book costs $10.00 and they will give you the $10.00 off on your first order. It is really handy
